Morrisburg Earl Baker Park - 29 September 2026
Sports Pad Ground Breaking - Next to the Playground
"The new multi-use sports pad at Earl Baker Park will give residents and
visitors a place to play year-round, offering ice hockey in the winter and
pickleball and basketball in the warmer months. Sports pads help to fill a
recreational gap many communities face, by offering a place for older
youth to play who've outgrown playgrounds, or for adults looking for
drop-in and pickup sports. Designed to meet Accessibility for Ontarians
with Disabilities Act (AODA) standards, this sports pad will welcome
people of all ages and abilities.
The project is led by the Earl Baker Park Recreation Fund, a volunteer
working group of the Morrisburg Waterfront Committee, and made possible by
local donors who share a vision of expanding recreation in our community."
